  Typhoon condition 2

  ok i'm getting tired of this, in less then 24 hours it will be our third typhoon this year!

  another 2-4 weeks no power, no cable tv, water pressure will be minimal.

  ok who's coming over for the typhoon party?

  Typhoons!

  Get them all the time here in Japan. Especially during the late summer months. Awesome display of nature!! In fact, those are about the only reasons when they will cancel meetings at the Kingdom Hall. We usually have about 10 to 15 of them a year, with about 5 to 7 of them actually "hitting" us folks here on land. NO SCHOOL, WORK OR MEETINGS!! .

  And the parties! Have them here too. Kinda' fun especially when the power goes out. We usually call it (as our Circuit Overseer used to suggest that all JW's should have), "No TV night".

  Where Did Those 29 Years Go?

  tomorrow is our 29th anniversary!.

  so, tonight calls for a big celebration.

  we're off to the "flute de paris" for an evening of wine and good food in a top restaurant in wsm.

  wow, they have a lawyer that specializes in travel law.

  i guess with the increasing consumer complaints against the airlines a travel lawyer would do well.. devon .

  "ULTRAMAN" is the "MAN" here in Japan. He is all over the place (along with his counterpart siblings). On posters, magazines, books, TV, action figures galore.....etc. Everywhere!!

  [As for me personally, I prefer "foreign" air carriers while traveling abroad. Planes belonging to the United States are obvious targets for terrorism.]

  Being called brother/sister in public places

  how did you like being called brother or sister, when you were in public.

  i remember once i was inside a bank waiting in line, and all of a sudden , a brother also waiting in line, said to me quite loud, hello brother x .

  i felt like a jerk, being called brother in front of everyone there.

  Unfortunately that has happened to me countless times. It is quite embarrasing. (I would have to admit, though, that I was guilty of the same thing.)

  Yes, like Mr. Rocky commented, I have also called my "field service" partner Brother So & So in front of the householder. It slipped out. And of course, I was scolded .

  Who knows? They might now call me Brother "NOT Exerting Vigorously" in public as I'm not hurrying to "reach out" for finer privileges.

  Any daytraders or Internet Investors?

  just curious,.

  one reason i pop on and off the internet is i trade and invest on ameritrade.

  coming here is sometimes a break while i'm waiting for a stock to move.

  Internet traders?

  I invested in stock ~via~ e-trade when I lived in the USA before I moved to Japan. I'm still holding those shares. Even though the stock market declined considerably in the USA since I moved here, I'm hoping for (as CO's always say....) a "fine increase" .

  i've been visiting this site for about 6 months but haven't had the courage to post anything.

  well here goes...... i was born and raised a jw.

  although i never really enjoyed anything about the religion, i trudged along because i was afraind of losing my family, and of course afraid of being destroyed in armageddon.

  i loved to be a part of the christian congregation.

  i always been a good jw (18 years) and im still one.

  but, internet has given me too much information on wtbts, and now i can see it is a fraud this doesnt mean i dont love jehovah or jesus, i love my brothers and sisters too, but, i cant say the same for the organization.

  Welcome! You mentioned being an "actor" while an active JW. Well, so am I. I'm still "associating" with the friends at the Kingdom Hall, though I'm planning the slow-fade. I understand you feelings as well. The things that I've learned about the Watchtower Society has been quite a revelation to me also.

  I know that many JW's are good people. I really think so. They are sincerely trying to do what is right in God's eyes. But they are being misled by "human" thoughts and reasonings. My suggestion to you is to "sift" out what is from God and what isn't. From there you make your own determination based on your faith in God's Word. After that, whatever your decision is, it will only be between you and Jehovah.

  Looking forward to your future posts.

  i live in southern california.

  it snows up in the mountains sometimes, but i really haven't seen a good snowfall for many years.

  i am visiting my sister in il soon and will probably see a lot of snow.. .
